When choosing a paddle, here are some questions you should ask yourself:

How Many Pickleball Paddles Should I Have?
Some pickleball players use multiple paddles for their game. Since there are many different paddles to choose from, you have no shortage of options. Paddles come in different shapes, weights, colors, cores, paddle face surfaces, and different grips.
Some paddles provide larger sweet spots. Others offer more power or better control. Some paddles are known for spin.
Some players prefer to use a different paddle when playing indoors compared to outdoor play in the wind. Other players use a different paddle to play singles compared to when they play doubles.
Paddle bundles are typically sold with 2 or 4 paddles. Sometimes they offer different colored paddles in the set. Having extra paddles isn’t a bad thing. That way you always have a backup, or you have a paddle to let someone borrow. Some manufacturers offer a good warranty and will replace your broken paddle. Having a backup paddle during the time you don’t have the broken one is beneficial.
How Many Games Does a Pickleball Paddle Last?
Depending on how durable a paddle is, how hard you hit a ball, and how long you play will determine how long a paddle will last.
From our experience, paddles can typically last for a few years if you are a rec player. If you’re a pro player, someone who is involved with tournament play, or someone who drills often, paddles may last less than a year.
